Lakeside Flow at Nebagamon
Lakeside Flow at Nebagamon
Lake Nebagamon, WI
Set along the shores of Lake Nebagamon, this full-scale landscape transformation was designed to bring structure, function, and lasting beauty to a newly built craftsman-style lake home. With a blank slate following the removal of an older cabin, the goal was to create a complete outdoor environment that supports the way the homeowners live, entertain, and move throughout the property.
The project began with solving critical drainage challenges across the sloped lakeside lot. A custom dry river bed system, fed by rain chains from the home, was carefully integrated into the landscape—turning a necessary solution into a standout visual feature. This naturalized water management approach not only protects the property but enhances the overall aesthetic with layered stone and plantings.
From there, the property was shaped into a series of intentional outdoor spaces connected by clean, geometric hardscaping. Techo-Bloc Blu 60 pavers in Champlain Grey create a cohesive network of walkways and gathering areas, guiding movement from the home to the lakefront. Rocka steps and strategically placed transitions ensure smooth access throughout the elevation changes.
At the shoreline, a custom fire council patio offers a central place to gather, framed by open lawn space and softened with organic stepping stone paths. The newly installed sport court is seamlessly set into the landscape, providing a recreational element without disrupting the natural flow of the property.
Surrounding the home, curated plantings and stone beds balance low maintenance with seasonal interest, while expansive turf areas provide space for recreation and relaxation. Every element was designed to feel connected—blending functionality with a refined, lakeside aesthetic.
Nebagamon Ridge Retreat is a complete outdoor living environment—where drainage, access, recreation, and design come together to create a property that works as beautifully as it looks.
