That experience runs deep. Some of our team have spent their entire careers here. Others came from different industries and found their place in the work. All of them show up with the same standard.
What that looks like in practice is a designer who walks your property and listens before drawing anything. A foreman who has built enough projects to know where problems show up before they do. A maintenance crew that treats your landscape the same way whether you are home or not. People in the office who return calls and follow through.

As president of Miller Creek, Cole is a true visionary. Since beginning his career in the green industry, Cole brings a decade of experience and the determination to build a legacy company that defines excellence through Designing, Building and Maintaining landscapes. Between his love for the outdoors and people, Cole has a deep passion for elevating landscapes, teams, and relationships.
When he’s not working on the next opportunity or project, Cole enjoys staying active in the woods or near the water, with traveling and hiking coming in at the top of the list.

Troy Grohsman

As senior landscape designer and Founder of Miller Creek, Troy brings nearly four decades of experience to Miller Creek and plays a key role in guiding our clients from start to finish with the design & vision of their projects. In addition to his work with clients, Troy brings mentorship, through years of experience, to the entire team at Miller Creek.

As General Manager, Natasha brings over two decades of experience to Miller Creek and plays a key role in guiding both the team and the company forward. She values the relationships she’s built with employees and clients alike and is passionate about creating a strong, positive culture.

Director of Operations

As Director of Operations, Dan is the guy who makes sure everything runs smoothly behind the scenes—and out in the field. Since joining Miller Creek in 2023 (kicking things off with the Red Panda Exhibit at the Lake Superior Zoo), he’s brought with him a deep background in sodding, excavation, grading, and underground utilities—which basically means he knows what’s going on both above and below the surface.
For Dan, the best part of Miller Creek is simple: the people. Whether it’s working alongside the crew or seeing a customer’s reaction when a project comes to life, that’s what keeps him going. When he’s not working, you’ll likely find him doing what he loves most—outdoors, chasing walleye and enjoying a good day on the water.

As Director of Sales, Jared works closely with our landscape consultants and clients to turn ideas into thoughtfully designed outdoor spaces. With over a decade at Miller Creek, he’s grown from installer to a key leader, bringing both hands-on experience and a strong understanding of what makes a project successful.
Jared enjoys the process of helping clients envision their ideal space—and then seeing it come to life. Outside of work, he spends his time working on outdoor projects and relaxing at home on his 20-acre alpaca farm.

As Director of Finance, Kyle helps ensure the financial side of the business runs as smoothly as everything happening in the field. He takes a thoughtful, grounded approach to decision-making and enjoys being part of a team that’s building something meaningful.

As Maintenance Operations Manager, Josh leads the entire maintenance division at Miller Creek, making sure everything runs smoothly—from team coordination to delivering consistent, high-quality results for clients. He thrives in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same and there’s always a new challenge to tackle.

Outside of work, Josh makes the most of every Minnesota season—riding his Harley in the summer, duck hunting in the fall, and snowmobiling or snowboarding in the winter. As Enhancements Project Manager, Brett is right where he belongs—bringing projects to life and helping clients fall in love with their outdoor spaces. Brett has been part of the Miller Creek story since 2015, and over the years, he’s done just about everything—from running the garden center to leading crews in the field.
He has a special appreciation for softscape design and creating garden beds that feel both natural and intentional. When he’s not working, Brett enjoys life with his wife Sarah and their two greyhounds, spending time at the cabin, hiking the North Shore, gardening, and traveling whenever the opportunity comes up.

As a Landscape Foreman, he’s done just about everything—from basic lawn care to complex outdoor builds—and now plays a key role in training new team members and keeping operations running strong.
