Every Miller Creek project begins with a consultation session with a designer, who will help shape the layout and design of your new landscape to ensure the finished project is exactly what you’re looking for.
History
As a kid, Troy grew up with a passion of being outside. Troy Grohsman started Neighborhood Yard Care in 1987, in his teens, which was then incorporated in 1995. As each year went by, we were able to offer more products and services to our clients, allowing us to grow into the company that we are today. As we grew, we moved to our second location in 2009, which was right next to the Miller Creek tributary. And since we don’t do work in just the “neighborhood” anymore, we changed our name to Miller Creek Lawn & Landscape. You can now find us at our permanent location at 5350 Miller Trunk Highway, Suite C, Hermantown, MN.

Our Team
A true outdoor enthusiast, Troy started the company with not much more than a lawn mower, a couple of shovels, and the determination to build a company himself. Now, over three decades later, Troy has built his company into three divisions of Design. Build. Maintain.
Natasha ensures that our operation runs smoothly and efficiently. You will find Natasha in our main office, working with clients, placing orders, preparing Quotes, keeping up with safety and OSHA regulations and managing our operations.
When Natasha is out of the office, she enjoys spending all of her time with her family and friends, which includes her 12 year old son and 8 year old Golden Retriever, Ragnar, doing outdoor activities and playing at and on the lake.
Amaya works out of our main office working with clients, manages 10,000 Lakes Storage & Suites, and supports Natasha in operations. She has been working for Miller Creek since 2021.
When she is not in the office, she is working on completing her teaching degree from UW-Superior.
With over 30 years of experience with Miller Creek, Matt has developed a keen ability to lead cross-functional teams, streamline processes, and deliver projects. You may also see him working on our fleet or delivering portable storage containers for our other business, 10,000 Lakes Storage.
When Matt is not working, he spends time watching NASCAR, working on projects, and watching his two daughter’s dances.
Paul joined the crew in 2015, he currently leads our hardscape crew. He ensures our team operates in a safe and efficient manner.
Paul enjoys spending time with his family and dogs when he is not working.
Jared specializes in designing and estimating projects with hardscapes, retaining walls, and drainage. Starting with the company in 2018, he has built a strong rapport with clients of effective communication, time management, and practicality.
Outside of landscaping, Jared owns an Alpaca farm inspired by his five daughters.
Since 2015, Jacob has gained technical and hands-on experience with Miller Creek. Jacob has been an integral part of numerous projects, ensuring the highest standards of quality and durability.
In his free time, Jacob enjoys working on old cars and trucks and in the wintertime, you may see him on the snowmobile trails.
Elizabeth joined the team in 2016 and currently leads our landscape maintenance crew. Her commitment to sustainable practices and environmental stewardship is evident in her approach to gardening and eco-friendly solutions.
Outside of work, Elizabeth enjoys tending to her own garden in the summer and relaxing with her critters in the winter.
Starting with Miller Creek in 2015, Brett has honed his skills in the art of softscaping, seamlessly blending nature’s beauty with client’s homes.
In his free time, Brett likes going on nature walks with his dogs and spending time in his garden.
Tim has a proven track record of guiding teams to achieve their goals in dynamic and challenging environments. Joining the team in 2019, Tim also works directly with clients to help make their dream landscaping a reality.
Tim enjoys hunting, fishing and pretty much anything outdoors when he is not at work.
Ryan started out with Miller Creek in 2015. Working alongside the team, he helps complete projects on time and to customer satisfaction.
Ryan is an avid canoeist and enjoys spending time with his family outside of work.
